Sulfur Studios is pleased to present Around the World, an exhibition of art works of Yiran Ren, Johnie Omar William, and Zachary Eric Federbush, March 10th-12th, 2017. The opening reception takes place on Friday, March 10th from 6-9 PM, while remaining open on March 11th-12th from 12-5 PM. The reception is free and open to the public as well.
"Around The World" is an exhibition of the works of Yiran Ren, Johnie Omar Williams, and Zachary Eric Federbush, each coming from different origins and growing up in unique settings around the world from each other. The show is about each artist’s interpretation of self-discovery within themselves and their place in the world. These three artists use whatever they can, to find acceptance for the questions they seek, for an appreciation of art. Ren explores the world of human spirituality and psychology. She has a want to combine the complexity and inconstant properties of emotion. Through her painting process, Ren expresses the inner human spiritual world. Williams practices focus on various aspects of social and political, cultural issues. It is his belief that through his work, it can be a useful instrument in the understanding of racism and its roots in America. Federbush uses an assortment of texts, imagery, and a multitude color pallets and materials to express his inner being and subconscious mind. His mindset is to explore, the various ways of communication through creative impulses, memories, and humor.
